Hackney's three Liberal Democrat councillors all represent Cazenove ward, which includes parts of Stamford Hill, Stoke Newington and Clapton. This is an extremely diverse area with - among many others - large Jewish and Muslim communities. Simon de Deney and Ben Mathis

Simon and Ben are the Liberal Democrats' chosen candidates for the general election expected in May 2015. They were selected by party members right across the borough in a one-member-one-vote contest on October 2nd 2014. Ben (Hackney South & Shoreditch) and Simon (Hackney North & Stoke Newington) lead our campaigning efforts for the parliamentary election.
