The EU and engaging community - Referendum and EU membership

Many of those who are opposed to Britain's EU membership are highly motivated to vote in the EU referendum on June 23rd. The majority probably want the UK to remain in the EU - but will they vote? How should the Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities vote in this referendum?

We are delighted to announce that Anuja Prashar has agreed to be one of our guest speakers for this event. She is Director & Treasurer of the European Movement UK and Lecturer in International Business specialising in Global Production Networks and Emerging a Economies. Our other guest speaker is Dave Raval, Lib Dem candidate for Hackney South in 2010 and a green entrepreneur.

The catering will be supplied by Pauline Pearce who always gets rave reviews for her Carribean style cuisine. Vegetarian food will be included.

To help us organise this in terms of number, please book in advance for FREE! Or pay £10 on the door to cover the cost for the food.

74 Amhurst Road is located between Hackney Downs and Hackney Central train stations. Hackney Downs can be accessed via Liverpool Street, and Hackney Central via Stratford or Highbury and Islington.

Lots of busses pass by as well.
