Council failure to deal with fire safety will lead to an irreparable breakdown of trust with Hackney residents
Hackney Liberal Democrat campaigner, Darren Martin has commented on news that the council has failed to deal with serious fire safety issues that were highlighted whilst completing new fire risk assessments in the wake of the Grenfell tragedy.
The council has so far only released 5% of the promised 1,900 risk assessments months on from the Grenfell Tower fire, and critical issues that were identified in the first 15 released last month have still not been dealt with.
