"to organise and implement a diverse calendar of social and community events to engage and motivate members of the Local Party and support its ongoing objectives."

Ruby Chow, Events Officer
Making things happen.
We like to run regular social and fundraising events - after all, we need money and we need to keep ourselves energised! The Events Officer puts these events together and makes sure we not only hit our fundraising targets but we all have a blast too.
Ruby Chow, who currently fills this role, lives in Clapton and is also the by-election coordinator for London Liberal Democrats and a member of English Liberal Democrats Executive. Besides electioneering, she is a passionate foodie and an ardent Arsenal fan.
Ruby says she wanted to be Events Officer "because only by having fun will we continue to be motivated and campaign hard to achieve our liberal aims."
More about the role:
The Events Officer's term runs from 1st January to 31st December and elections take place at the local party AGM, usually held in October or November. Any local party officer can be appointed to stand in for the Chair if he/she is unavailable and, as such, all officers are also Vice Chairs.
