Figures released detailing levels of permanent and fixed-period exclusions for 2015/16 highlight a worrying trend of violence in our schools with thousands of young people being excluded for violent or threatening behaviour.
Violent crime has risen by 18% across England and Wales in the last year, according to new statistics today. The Liberal Democrats said the figures revealed the government's "record of failure" on crime.
